Azrou – The meeting hall at Dar Hay Al Arab in Azrou hosted the general assembly of the Al Hanane Association for Orphan Care, in an atmosphere marked by a sense of responsibility and cooperation. The event brought together association members, several benefactors, and individuals interested in charitable work to evaluate achievements and plan future projects.

Opening Ceremony with a Patriotic Spirit

The assembly opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Moroccan national anthem, symbolizing the patriotic spirit that united the attendees.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Mohamed Ben Heman, President of the association, expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their continued support. He reviewed the association’s journey over the past three years, highlighting its notable successes that have strengthened its reputation as a trusted destination for donors. The President emphasized the association’s commitment to maintaining transparency and accountability in its administrative and financial management while expanding its activities to support more beneficiaries.

Ms. Fatima Zahra, the association’s coordinator, delivered a detailed presentation supported by precise statistics. The presentation highlighted the number of beneficiary families, the areas covered, and the provided support, showcasing the association’s diverse social programs.

A Report Showcasing Multifaceted Efforts

Mr. Hassan Amlouk, Secretary-General of the association, presented a comprehensive report outlining the association’s social, health, educational, and recreational activities, including:

  • Social: Distribution of food baskets, Eid clothing, sacrificial animals, and home renovations.
  • Health: Provision of medication, medical check-ups, and funding for surgical procedures.
  • Educational: School bag distribution, educational support, and organization of professional training programs.
  • Recreational: Collective Iftar events, recreational outings, and children’s activities. Mr. Amlouk also announced the launch of a bilingual website (Arabic and French) to enhance communication with partners and donors.

Financial Transparency Highlighted

Mr. Ali Azour, Treasurer of the association, presented the financial report detailing the association’s revenues and expenditures over the past three years, including bank accounts and their management. The report was well-received and unanimously approved by the attendees.

Discussions and Amendments

Attendees shared their observations and suggestions during the discussion session. Both the activity and financial reports were unanimously approved, as were amendments to Articles 3 and 5 of the association’s statutes, aimed at improving institutional performance.

After the resignation of the outgoing board, nominations were opened for the formation of a new board. Unanimously, Mr. Mohamed Ben Heman was re-elected as President. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the renewed trust and reaffirmed his commitment to achieving the association’s goals.

The assembly concluded with the reading of a message of loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, reaffirming the association’s commitment to the nation’s fundamental values.
